Ascend events by Episerver bring together the community of digital marketers, developers and ecommerce leaders to share their strategies for driving growth through digital transformation.

This year, Ascend Benelux took place on October 9th at De Fabrique in Utrecht. Attendances learned from industry visionaries and innovators who continue to push the boundaries by creating outstanding customer experiences. They also had the opportunity to expand their connections with the community of Episerver users and partners.

Marcus Portström, VP of Sales EU, First Line Software was at the event and had the following to report:

“This year’s Benelux edition at De Fabrique in Utrecht did not disappoint. Episerver Ascend was an amazing event where we got to meet with many of the roughly 200 Episerver partners and clients attendees. We also heard what’s new from Episerver and what’s on the roadmap.”

Looking back at last year’s presentation of the roadmap, Episerver has made significant progress. The first version of the platform using .NET Core is currently in beta testing and we should soon see the launch of this highly-anticipated, modernized release.

The new Episerver Marketplace has also been expanded to include a wider selection of pre-built time-saving solutions and enable greater collaboration throughout the network – all to the benefit of the users of the Episerver solutions.

There are many more items from the product roadmap that are being released such as greater native support for SPA and PWA, easier and continuous updates, plus a more unified tech stack and UI. The coming months should prove to be exciting and we’re looking forward to what’s next.

Not only did we get to see what’s new in the Episerver world, but there were also many inspiring customer presentations, such as those from WWF and Netafim, and key notes, including the futurist Matthew Griffin from 311 Institute. All of the sessions provided great lessons to all attendees.

Episerver Ascend Benelux 2019 was a terrific event. First Line Software will be back in 2020.
